On the Ground in the West Bank
A REPORT BACK FROM MASAFER YATTA WITH LEV
Sunday, June 28, 11:00am-1:00pm Portland Mennonite Church, 1312 SE 35th Ave, Portland
Lev, a lifelong member of Havurah Shalom in Portland, spent three months living and working with Palestinians in the Israeli-occupied West Bank. Faced with escalating Israeli setter attacks on their families, homes and lands, Palestinians in Masafer Yatta/South Hebron Hills put out a mass call for activists to come live and shepherd with them, and respond to and document settler attacks together. Lev answered the call and served there for three months with the Center for Jewish Nonviolence. (Optional: Bring your brown bag lunch.)
